Sailing Instructions

The ability for yachts to change divisions during a series was previously prevented by SI rule 15.2 "Yachts shall not change divisions during the course of a series" This rule has been DELETED and an amended rule 2.2 now states "Yachts shall advise the OOD their intention to race, number of persons on board and their division for offshore events." This change allows yachts to select a preference of course based on the conditions and was primarily accepted for safety reasons.

Clarification on River Course A has been made with the addition of the Shortened Regatta Course. This matches the course sailed during the inshore regatta this year with a number of yachts agreeing that the shorter option allowed for 3 races against a strong tide with little wind.

The wording around River Course A PWC area has also been made with an amendment to SI rule 7.2 which now states. "The PWC Hire Area is a continuing obstruction. No part of a yacht shall be within this area, the outer limits of which are marked by yellow buoys."
